The meeting place will be upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport. We will stay in the area of Thamel, tourist center of the city. Depending on the time of arrival, there will be free time until dinner, we will meet to present the program and resolve any doubts that may arise. If the arrival is too late, we will rest and we will meet the next day

After resting and a tasty breakfast, we will go to Bhacktapur, the capital of Nepal during the 12th to 15th centuries and proclaimed a world heritage site by HUNESCO. A few kilometers from Kathmandu is this beautiful city. Walking the streets of Bhaktapur is like visiting an open-air museum, its historic temples and its genuine plazas will invite us to go back in time. We will eat at one of their beautiful restaurants and return to Thamel. Free time and we will meet for dinner.

In the morning we will take a tourist bus that will take us to the base of the Sanctuary of the Anapurnas. The route gives us a splendid view over the mountains and the Himalayas rivers. Here begins our expedition to the Mardi Himal Trek. We will spend 6 days touring the beautiful mountains of Nepal and living with the local people. The Mardi Himal Trek is one of the "new" treks in the northern area of Pokhara. It is a trekking that runs in the middle of a beautiful landscape and has stunning views of the Annapurnas circus, at the foot of Mardi Himal, from whom it takes its name, and the beautiful Machhapuchhre. The route rises between forests sharing at the beginning part of the common itineraries of the Annapurna Sanctuary, but it is then raised to travel along the eastern ridge of the Khola Way valley, following the Annapurna Base Camp itinerary but at about 1300 meters more of elevation with respect to the bottom of the valley, what allows him to enjoy superb views. It is a trek without technical difficulty, so it is suitable for anyone accustomed to move around the mountain

A day of well-deserved rest awaits us in the mythical city of Pokara. We will stay in a beautiful hotel and there will be time to visit and enjoy this beautiful city at the base of the Anapurnas. There will be options for visits to temples, boat trips on the lake, bike rental to visit the city, shopping, enjoy a relaxing massage and for the more adventurous there are paragliding options.

The next three days a great adventure awaits us on one of the most exciting Himalayas rivers in Nepal, the Kali Gandaki. The river is born in Mustang, on the north side of the Himalayas. The descent of this river combines the whitewater with some of the most beautiful landscapes of Nepal, villages rarely visited, abundant wildlife, sandy beaches and beautiful waterfalls. Each day we will make a descent of about 6 hours, stop to eat, rest and enjoy the scenery. At nightfall we can enjoy dinner and after dinner around a bonfire, we will sleep in cozy shops. The Kali Gandaki rapids are class III to IV, they are technical and continuous, so they keep the rowers busy and entertained for most of the day, it is not necessary a previous experience, but an attention and predisposition towards the indications from our fellow guides. Once the rafting is finished we will move to Pokara. Free time to have dinner and rest.

After a well-deserved rest and a good breakfast, we will take a tourist bus that will take us to Kathmandu. The arrival is scheduled around 4 in the afternoon. We will have the afternoon free. At night we will get together for dinner.

We will have all day to know the Hindu sanctuary Pasuk Patinak, next to the sacred Bagmati river, we can see the cremations and rituals offered to the deceased as well as meet the abundant Babas that live in the temple. There will also be time to visit the Boudhanath Buddhist Stupa, a refuge for large populations of Tibetans exiled during the invasion of China in 1049. We will have the afternoon free to walk around the city delighting in its squares, markets, temples, craft bazaars, clothing stores, tearooms, etc. At night we will get together to celebrate the last dinner of the trip.

In a country that has so much to offer, it is best experienced with a company like I’m Your Trip. After conducting a considerable level of research and assured by the excellent reviews that the company has received, I finally went ahead with the selection of Nepal Travel & Adventure as the tour guide of choice for my trip to Nepal. Prior to my arrival in Kathmandu, I communicated with Bea via e-mail frequently to firm up the itinerary. To my pleasant surprise, my queries and requests were answered very promptly – and unexpectedly, travel arrangements, were made on my behalf. . From the day we landed in Kathmandu till the day we left, all our requirements (including our “shopping” requests) were looked into conscientiously. The customer-centric approach adopted and flexibility to the travel itinerary meant greater comfort for me and my travel party. Special thanks to Isabel and Guru Ji (the most skillful driver I have ever met!) for making our stay in Nepal so memorable and above all, so enjoyable. Nepal Travel & Adventure comes highly recommended, be it for your first trip or your ensuing trips to Nepal and the neighboring countries.
