ENJOY 4 DAYS OF KITESURFING NEXT TO THE MAYAN RUINS OVERLOOKING THE WHITE SAND BEACHES AND MAYAN TEMPLES

Tulum’s spectacular coastline is one of the most beautiful beaches in the World, with picturesque Mayan temples overlooking the white sandy beaches. 125 km south of the big hotels of Cancun City, it is a small but perfectly-formed white sandy cove, with some palm shade and the blue Caribbean sea. Of course, is a paradise for kiteboarding. This place is the site of a Pre-Columbian Maya walled city working as a important port for Cobá. The ruins are located on 12 mt. large cliffs, along the east coast in Quintana Roo. Diving, snorkeling, and swimming in the underwater rivers or caves cenotes is an extremely popular activity in Tulum, and there are many to choose from. The staff is amazing, they know what they are doing. In two days I was on my way. They have everything under control! I had a wonderful kitesurfing experience. My instructor was a great teacher! Very patient, answering all my questions and my safety was always a priority. I obtained a lot of confidence even when I struggled during my learning process!…And the best part: every day ended with a big smile! Thank you for sharing your kitesurfing passion with me!! 🙂
I cant wait to be back soon!

Myself and a buddy went kiting down around Tulum. The place is incredible. They have a great group of international instructors, and a perfect spot on the beach where you can safely leave your gear and ride with plenty of uncrowded ocean. If I could do it again I’d just get in touch with I’m Your Trip before heading down… they’re really cool. These guys have a spot on the best beach we saw and a great atmosphere. I’d recommend to anyone who wants to go for lessons or just to ride by yourself. They always have the best plan for you.

I went with my boyfriend last October to Tulum. We both live in Costa Rica, surf everyday, but kite surfing is not something very popular where we live. My boyfriend and I felt in love with the spot. I’m Your Trip team was very friendly yet professional ! My boyfriend has done a lot of kite surf in his life, all around the world, and really really enjoyed!!! I personally never kite surfed before… and I loved it !!! David was extremely patient with me. I had a blast !!!
I strongly recommend this trip. On location,. If you don´t want to kite surf, you can always enjoy the beach (one the most beautiful I´ve ever seen !).
Again, a BIG THANK YOU to all the IM YOUR TRIP TEAM !!!

Our trip includes picking you up from the airport. Here you will find more information:

Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Cancún International Airport (CUN).
Tulum is located approximately 81 miles [131 km] from Cancun.

Bus Information:
There are two bus terminals in Tulum. One is near the Pemex station and is open from 9:00am to 6:00pm. The ADO station is located in town and is open 24hrs. Both provide first & second class bus service. The colectivo also stops in town on Hwy 307. You can take the colectivo from Tulum to Playa del Carmen, which is a very cheap option and fairly comfortable. However, the drivers try to make the trip
as quickly as possible and it is usually not a smooth ride (not exactly for the faint-of-heart)!

A travel-insurance policy to cover theft, loss, adventure sports and medical problems is a very good idea. Some policies specifically exclude dangerous activities, so check carefully to make sure you're covered for all your activities of choice.

Kiteboarding is a surface water sport that combines many aspects of other surface water sports, like wakeboarding, surfing, windsurfing, paragliding, and gymnastics. The rider uses a large controllable power kite to harness the power of the wind and propel themselves across the water on their kiteboard. This board is similar to a wakeboard, and can come with or without foot straps or bindings.

A basic level of fitness is all you need. Modern gear can be adjusted to work for people in a broad range of physical abilities.

The more the better! There are many of ladies who kiteboard, and we would all love to see a lot more! Ladies usually learn faster than men, are more attentive and don t use their strength as much as we do!!!!

No, Kiteboarding is not a dangerous sport, and you follow the basic safety rules and respect the Right of Way rules (ROW), when you are riding.
The Kitesurf industry and gear technology and design have grown and improved to the point that nowadays all the security systems and equipment has been developed and produced to make Kiteboarding easy, safe and user friendly!
Just remember to be safe and respectful by the nature, conditions and other users on the beach and kiteboarders… that way you will have every time you go to the water an awesome session!
